Whisperide - It's a Way of Life

Whisperide was founded by Phil Morrell, an entrepreneur, leader and loving father who sought more natural and gentle product and training alternatives for his herds that roamed his Missouri Preserve. Just as he cares for his own children he wanted the best for his magnificent horses and started researching products and training techniques available on the market.

Phil Morrell was soon introduced to Rick Wheat, a man who shared many of the values Phil had concerning horse care and training. Rick Wheat a renowned trainer and clinician for most of his entire life came with a long list of accomplishments and prestige.  He rode the rodeo Circuit for many years riding bareback and saddle broncos. He was voted “All Around Cowboy” and “Pick Up Man of the Year” for several years in a row. He soon started his own Rodeo Company and was soon voted Producer of the Year.

Rick’s extensive expertise and background led him to develop a training headstall that complimented his training techniques that focused on the nature of a horse. He named his invention the “Noavel Headstall” since its design looked like an oval that sat on the horse’s nose! After several successful years of training with the Noavel, Rick patented the Headstall!

TRAINING TECHNIQUES

The Noavel Headstall Training Technique is based on the nature of the horse and is aimed at receiving the full attention and respect from that horse, as you were the Lead Mare in the herd. We believe training should reflect the most natural movement and comfort of a horse. The Noavel Headstall helps communicate and train horses in the most effective way, without damaging, hurting or confusing your horse.

The Whisperide Lifestyle grew from the Noavel Headstall and the Whisperide Company was established. The products, training series and our own corporate philosophy reflect the gentle values we have for our horses. After all, they are our healers, companions, and inspiration.
